Over the next 5 days, we’ll walk you step-by-step through the college list building process so you’ll have a great list started by this Thursday!
So exciting, right?!
The most common question families ask us when they get started with this process is...
"Where and how do I start?"
In Day 1 of our Free 5 Day Challenge, we will teach you the first steps to create a realistic college list; one that is a solid academic, social, and financial fit for your student and family.
The video and worksheet for today will provide you with the necessary steps you need to begin the college list process.
You will learn to:
- Identify which schools to visit right away
- Implement steps to visit schools online as well as in person
- Identify resources to use to ensure you are seeing the school holistically
- Identify specific characteristics that are important to your family

In addition, we’ve also included a detailed College Visitation Guide to ensure you experience effective online and on campus visits. The guide is attached to this email (scroll to the bottom of the email), print it out now.
YOUR TASK FOR TODAY is to do an “online visit” for one of each of the types of schools listed below, and decide on the following with your student. (You’ll be amazed what your child can find on a school website, Instagram, YouTube & Twitter.):
- Do they want a big, medium or small size school?
- Do they want to attend a public or a private school?
- Do they want to attend an urban or a rural school (or something in between)?
Remember:Your College List Drives Everything!
Your student's admissibility, your family's affordability and the workload that is required to complete the application process.
This first day, of this challenge, will set the foundation for the rest of your college list creation process.
