Time flies when we're having fun! I understand you may not view admissions and paying for college as fun, but you have to admit that time has flown by.
The current Concierge session ends this month and the next session for the class of 2022 families continues on October 1st.
Over the past few months we've discussed so much: researching colleges, building a college list, summer plans, resumes, interviews, essays and more. In addition, we've answered many of your personal questions and gotten to know you all better.
Some of you have also taken advantage of one-on-one counseling with Ellen (our counselor in residence) and college list reviews with Rebecca.
Our next session runs from October to the end of May. Here's what we will be covering:
Financial aid forms: FAFSA and CSS Profile
Estimating your family's cost BEFORE your student applies
Plan B for student's applying early decision who don't get in
Searching for private scholarships
Understanding and comparing your student's offers
Calculation the total cost of each college your student is accepted to
Negotiating offers
Choosing the college to attend
Reviewing student loan and alternative funding options
Personal financial skills for soon-to-be college freshmen
Legal forms once your student turns 18
and more
To continue with Concierge you don't need to do anything. Your credit card on file will be charged the next session fee of $480 on October 1st.
If you do not want to continue, please respond to this email as soon as you can or before October 1st, to let me know.
If anyone would like extra help with essays, applications, resumes, interviews or reviewing your list, you can request a Common App Review, College List Review ($249), or one-on-one time.
I hope to see you again in October and all the way through to May. We look forward to continue working with your families over the next few months.
Best,
Debbie
