Looking back on your past can be detrimental if you don’t learn from your previous mistakes.
But when you can analyze what you might have done differently, and then share that introspection with others, the reflection can be a win/win for everyone.
A peer speaking to her peers...like we said, a win/win. |

Understatement of the century: College Is Expensive!
So, finding out how to make it potentially “less” expensive would be a blessing. Especially if it will help you avoid that very dreaded bogeyman: DEBT!
There is financial aid available at public colleges and universities, and (surprise!) it’s also available at private colleges.

Happy National Essay-Writing Day!
|
|
|
This past week we celebrated International Left-Hander's Day, and we thought that if such a day could exist, there should be one that sings the praises of college essay writing. (Okay, we admit it, we made up that day!)
In this two-day workshop, expert tutor and college coach, Anna Ren, will instruct a small group of students in developing and finalizing their college essays. They will do a “deep dive” into the mechanics of essay writing and be able to work on ideas they might already have considered. In addition is the extra benefits of getting access to the Jump Start College Essay Workshop and being part of a private Facebook support group, where Anna will hop on once a day for a two-week period to answer questions about the essays and the entire college admissions process as well. |
|
WHEN: Sundays, August 18th and August 25th at 7:30 – 9pm EST LIMITED TO 15 STUDENTS
While the College Essay is only one piece of the Admissions puzzle, it can be the piece that puts your student over the top and sets them apart from others. And THAT would be something to celebrate! |

We’ve put together a survey about student loans that we hope you’ll fill out. Once we get enough responses we, of course, will report back with the results. So, won’t you please tell us what you thought about finding a loan?
