"Three years ago, my oldest daughter was a high school sophomore and our family was thinking of college. My husband and I think we're well educated, do our homework and research, and have good lines of communication with our child.
I started to do some homework on my own and talk to people in my school and community. Find out their thoughts and opinions, gather some advice, and listen to what they had to say.
My daughter attended a private high school, and as much as they were doing their part in the college preparedness area, I personally felt I needed more.
And, as time quickly went on, I started to have some fears, have some significant concerns that as much as my husband and I thought we were knowledgeable... I would miss something, I would not be aware of something, I would make a mistake, that would, in the end, cost my daughter a part of her future.
I did not want that to happen. No parent would."

So to fill the void, we created a service for families stuck in the middle - "too rich for financial aid but too poor to pay for college".
It's a 16 month program with a combination of group guidance sessions and personal interaction.

If money is no object, you can afford to work one-on-one with a private counselor, you're not worried about paying for college and your student is aiming for elite schools - then this service may NOT be for you.
But for EVERYONE ELSE it's exactly what you'll need to help you and your student through the process.
What if my student needs more personal attention? You can get it. Russ and Marisa are offering Concierge Service members a significant discount on additional, private hours a family might want to add on.
But trust us, we believe the service is designed so you won't need anything else.
Why is it 16 months? As experts, Marisa and Russ know that getting into college is really the easy part, making sure your student transitions well and starts college prepared is something many families forget to focus on. But we don't. That's why we'll be with you and your student from now through the end of June. |
