Subject: 🌟🎓 Student Loan Interest Rates are Dropping!

👉 Be sure to check if you can get a lower interest rate on your student's loans.

Heads Up

Dear Parents,

We wanted to let you know that private lenders are lowering interest rates on student loans. This is a good opportunity to revisit whether or not your current loan is the best rate you can get.

If your student's spring semester loan hasn't disbursed to their school yet, you could research to get a better rate from the same lender or a different lender!

Remember that not everyone qualifies for the same rate at the same lender. It all comes down to details, such as: credit score, income to debt ratio, term (how long you take to pay back the loan), repayment type, and more.

Here's a helpful guide to rate shopping:

1. Apply to 2-3 lenders* to see what rates you'll be offered:

  • College Ave (A R2C preferred lender.)

  • Sallie Mae (A R2C preferred lender.)

  • SoFi (A R2C preferred lender.)

  • Citizens (Through Credible - a website to check rates from multiple lenders.)

  • Ascent (A R2C preferred lender.)

*Borrowers can apply to multiple lenders within a 30 day window of their first application, without additional impact to their credit score.

2. Once you've checked rates, create a free account at joinjuno.com. It takes less than a minute to sign up.

Juno negotiates better student loan rates for groups of student loan borrowers. You'll be able to quickly:

  • Get an estimate from their primary lender

  • Apply directly to their primary lender

  • Get your rates matched
