Taking Up Residence
Resident Assistant - RA
If your student is looking for ways to save on room and board for college, working as a Resident Assistant may be part of the plan.

Keep in mind this is a job that has many responsibilities. It’s not exactly like Mrs. Garrett’s in “The Facts of LIfe,” but pretty similar. (Yes, we’re showing our age here.)

“Working as a Resident Assistant: What You Need to Know” will provide some insight as to what is required, but remember, it’s not a job that every student can handle.
What’s up ahead on The Road…
We are so excited to announce our 5-Day Borrowing & Lending Series!

AND to kick it off on Monday, June 3rd (8:30pm EST), we are thrilled to have Jean Chatzky, CEO of HerMoney and Financial Advisor on the “TODAY Show,” join us.

Jean will be discussing budgeting and how we can manage to squeeze a little more out of our existing budgets. You won’t want to miss it!

Which Colleges Rank High on the Generosity Index?
It’s hard to believe that the words “college” and “generous” can ever appear together in the same sentence, let alone the same thought, but they can…if you know where to look.

Our College Free Money Finder guides families to find colleges that can be more generous to their students. By entering a student’s academic information, state of residency, location preference, along with interests in the arts, sports, STEM, and nursing, families will
receive a list of colleges in order of merit or need-based generosity.

It’s amazing what you can find, if you just know where to look.

Tomorrow’s Tuition at Today’s Prices
If you didn’t catch our recent Facebook LIve with Bob Cole of Private College 529 Plan, no worries! You can watch it here

Lots of great information about 529 savings plans and how to incorporate them into your college saving strategy was discussed, and as Bob said, “Money you save is money you don’t have to borrow.”

Check out the list of 300 private colleges and universities in the Private College 529 Plan.

What I find so valuable, is if your student will be attending one of these 300 schools, you can purchase their senior year's tuition at today's tuition prices! You can also transfer money from an existing 529 plan to gain this benefit.

In addition, it's a great way for friends and family to give graduation gifts that will REALLY help pay for college.
