Tony Evers signed Executive Order #97 ordering the flags of the United States and the state of Wisconsin to be flown at half-staff on Mon., Dec. 7, 2020 on National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. New North Region Stepping Up to the COVID-19 Challenge ThedaCare makes plans to distribute COVID-19 vaccine WBAY Wis. (WBAY) - The very first shipment of a COVID-19 vaccine could arrive in Northeast Wisconsin in the next two weeks. Friday, ThedaCare shared new information about its distribution plan.
ThedaCare says the state will initially receive 50,000 vaccines but it’s unclear how many will go to each individual health care provider. We do know those who work in health care will receive it first. Depending on how many vaccines are received, an emphasis will be on offering it to those who work in hospital emergency rooms or COVID wards.

Encourage Educational Attainment Lakeshore Technical College trains frontline workers to fill hospital shortages amid COVID-19 Herald Times Reporter While the Wisconsin Nurses Association reports the supply of nurses dwindling with many out of work as a result of having COVID-19 or quarantining because of exposure, students graduating from the nursing-associate degree program at Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland continue passing the National Council Licensure Examination on their first attempt at high rates. The college’s pass rate for graduates taking the exam in 2020 through November is 97%.

Bucket Lawrence, CPED partner on delivering business courses Insight On Business Lawrence University and the Wisconsin School of Business Center for Professional and Executive Development have launched a partnership to offer learning and development opportunities to the business community in the Fox Valley.
The partnership, facilitated through CPED, provides immersive programs on critical skill development. The courses are being delivered online during the COVID-19 pandemic but will shift to in-person sessions on the Lawrence campus when it’s safe to do so.
