Elevate Sustainability as an Economic Driver UW Oshkosh to convert dairy waste into renewable fuel with new $20 million facility WLUK NEW FRANKEN -- The University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh is moving forward with a $20 million facility to expand its sustainability efforts. The university, along with biogas partner Agra Energy, broke ground Monday on the facility, which will convert dairy waste into biofuel. It is located at Dairyland Farm in New Franken. UWO says the facility will allow it to convert biogas waste into an estimated 750,000 gallons of renewable diesel and jet fuel each year. NEENAH – In celebration of its founding 150 years ago, Kimberly-Clark made a significant donation to the Neenah Joint School District.
The company donated $150,000 to help advance science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programming.
In appreciation of the donation, the school district is expected to name a classroom wing after Kimberly-Clark in the new Neenah High School, which will open in the fall of 2023 right across from Kimberly-Clark’s West Offices on Winchester Road....

WEDC will fund up to nine organizations, with a total of $225,000 in funding available during fiscal year 2023. The funds are intended to support the organizations in building operating sustainability and becoming better prepared to provide technical assistance to their members and communities. The grant funds will be allocated in a competitive process, with decisions announced in early 2023. Applicants for this pilot program must be diverse-based nonprofits that have not received prior WEDC funding.
