UW Oshkosh reports results of 17-month COVID-19 economic impact survey

A 17-month COVID-19 economic impact survey conducted by the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s Center for Customized Research and Services (CCRS) collected feedback from 3,500 Wisconsin business leaders to help shape policies and strategies to assist in recovering from the pandemic.
The research showed an average income loss of more than $150,000 reported by 138 businesses that completed the full study.
New North President Barb LaMue said the research project—a partnership between UW Oshkosh, the state’s nine Regional Development Organizations and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation—helped determine the types of resources that businesses required to navigate the pandemic....

GREEN BAY - A new training program is launching in the Fox Valley that will help train veterans for jobs in IT.
It’s no secret there’s a shortage of workers in the workforce, and IT is no different.
“There are just a ton of jobs, here in the valley and across the state, in cybersecurity, help desk, data analytics, you’re just seeing things across the board,” says Patrick Riley from New Horizons.
And according to the Fox Valley Veterans Council, many businesses are looking to hire veterans to fill open positions. Zach Zabel says, “People just think we have a roll call of vets to call, waiting for the employer, but that’s not the case.
