New home construction permits issued during the first half of the year increased to 1,454 in a 16-county area that includes the Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, Wausau, Stevens Point, Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Marinette and Fond du Lac metro areas.

The agency is developing its new 30-year transportation plan, called “Connect 2050”, and as part of the plan they’ve posted an online survey to gauge public opinions of six key areas: Economic Vitality, Safety and Security, Quality of Life and Natural Environment, System Integration and Connectivity, System Management, and Funding and Project Costs.
