CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Company has announced that effective July 13, the Company has purchased Neenah Enterprises, Incorporated, headquartered in Neenah. Neenah operates three plants which manufacture construction and industrial castings. The Neenah plant locations are: Medley, Florida, Neenah, Wisconsin and Lincoln, Nebraska.
Neenah has been a leader in the construction castings industry for 150 years. Hooper Hardison, president and CEO of Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Company, said, "This acquisition in an adjacent sector builds on our core competency in the manufacturing of grey iron castings. We believe that Charlotte Pipe's financial strength and manufacturing expertise will strengthen Neenah's portfolio."..

$1.2 million grant to help Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding modernize

STURGEON BAY -- Fincantieri Marine Group has received a $1.2 million grant to help modernize the graving dock pumps at Bay Shipbuilding of Sturgeon Bay.
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration announced the grant Friday through its Small Shipyard Grant Program.
“Small businesses are the lifeblood of the American economy, and small shipyards play a critical role in America’s maritime industry, helping us get the goods we depend on every day,” U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said. “These grants will help modernize small shipyards in communities across the country, creating and protecting local jobs, strengthening America’s maritime industry, and securing our economic future.”.

ONEIDA - Oneida Nation officials are exploring the potential for a utility-scale solar power facility on the reservation with assistance from a federal grant.
