NEWTON - For the ninth time in the past 14 contests, Manitowoc County's Pine River made a clean sweep at the Wisconsin State Fair Cheese Blue Ribbon Dairy Products Contest.

APPLETON – The sun was already scorching by 9 a.m., but it didn't deter the three women from harvesting over 300 pounds of yellow squash in under an hour.
Such understated feats happen every time these septuagenarians get their hands dirty in a garden. Covered head to toe, Chee Thao, Ker Vue and Mao Vue crouched along rows of vegetation, loading their arms with yellow squash, zucchini and regional variations like summer ball and patty pan summer squash.
"I grew up gardening, cultivating the land, raising crops all my life," said Mao Vue, her words translated from Hmong by NEW Hmong Professionals Executive Director Long Vue. "Whether in Laos or in this country, I try to do as much as I can, and gardening is my life."..

Door County Medical Center, Integrated Telehealth Partners partner on behavioral healthcare

You will not have to travel far to address your behavioral healthcare needs. Door County Medical Center and Integrated Telehealth Partners announced on Tuesday that they would be teaming up to provide telehealth services in behavioral healthcare.
The partnership includes outpatient services for referrals made by DCMC staff and consultancy services for the hospital’s emergency department. Board-certified nurse practitioner Rosalyn Geier will provide the outpatient services as she helps patients navigate mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders, and trauma histories for adults, and general mental health concerns for children. Moonlit Meadows provides outlet for veterans, first responders, kids through classes, programs

BROWN COUNTY – Mandi Mincheski, owner of Moonlit Meadows Performance Horses, LLC in Denmark, said there’s something special about equine therapy.
“You have to be in the moment when you’re with horses,” she said. “They don’t care what happened yesterday, and they don’t care how busy you are tomorrow. Everything has to be in the moment.”
Mincheski said her passion for horses is lifelong, but only recently did she discover how helpful horses can be to veterans and service members.
