OCONTO - Stephanie Schoel enjoys being creative and artistic in her floral designs, letting the flower guide her.
Schoel, who took over the floral business at 1042 Main St. in Oconto, opening Secret Garden Floral Design in the former Flowers, said that even in a bunch of 10 of the same type of flower, each flower has its own characteristics.

Summerfest Tech announces finalists for 2023 Pitch Competition

The Summerfest Tech Pitch Competition is set to return this June during the expanded three-day event to be held at Potawatomi Casino Hotel.
The Pitch Competition, produced by Young Enterprising Society and sponsored by Molson Coors, involves a group of entrepreneurs sharing their business ideas for the chance to win a portion of a $50,000 cash prize. A $5,000 prize will be awarded to a “Hometown Winner” from the greater Milwaukee area. APPLETON - Pursuing a career as a chef wasn’t necessarily the path Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) culinary arts student Joe Ognenoff thought he’d follow – especially because he began his college journey in the nursing program at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh focusing on cryogenics and biotech.

Michaela Heling is a savvy young entrepreneur, but even she couldn’t have predicted her remarkable first year at Lakeland University.
Heling, a business administration major, recently turned heads by finishing second at The Pitch, a startup business pitch competition among college students in Northeast Wisconsin that was held at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wis.
