Dear Colleagues, As you are no doubt aware, COVID-19 presents many difficult challenges to organizations and individuals. The good news is that by working together we can meet these challenges head on, do what needs to be done, and move forward. One of the key national challenges is an expected shortage of key medical supplies needed to prevent the spread of and/or treat the COVID-19. Examples of supplies that are potentially in short supply include:
- N95 masks
- Gloves
- Protective goggles
- Face masks
- Face shields
- Respirators
- Disinfectant (70-percent solution and liquid hand soap).
- Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Zicam....
- Peroxide

WMEP Manufacturing Solutions has been asked to reach out to Wisconsin manufacturers to help identify companies that are able to or could be reconfigured to help increase production of items that are in short supply. Our ask: If your company is interested in pivoting to produce one or more item above, please reply to info@wmep.org by EOD Friday March 20, 2020 with the following information:
- Your company: (Name and website address)
- Contact person information: (Name, title, phone, email)
- Products your company could potentially manufacture:
We will forward that information to our congressional delegations who have requested it, as well as to the national NIST MEP network who we are working with to coordinate the federal response. We thank you in advance for your consideration. We have also put together a COVID-19 manufacturers resource page to help keep you informed of the latest developments. Please do not hesitate to let us know if we can assist you in meeting this or any other challenge your organization is facing in the current environment.
Sincerely, Tim Wiora Executive Director/CEO |
