Road America brings hundreds of millions to Wisconsin, study says

PLYMOUTH -- Road America in Sheboygan County attracts an estimated $403 million in economic impact to the state of Wisconsin, according to a recent report by the Washington Economics Group.
The motorsports facility located in Plymouth near Elkhart Lake supports an estimated 2,975 jobs and brings in $83 million in household income. Of the statewide economic impact, $354 million came from visitor spending. Other economic impact factors included off-site lodging, shopping, dining and entertainment expenditures made by visitors....

NEWMA and Goodwill NCW to offer digital literacy training

NORTHEAST WISCONSIN -- At its quarterly meeting held virtually Tuesday, the Northeast Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance announced a grant from Microsoft that will fund a new digital literacy training opportunity for NEWMA member companies.
The training will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 2-26 in collaboration with Goodwill North Central Wisconsin. The 2 ½-hour course is designed to boost NEWMA member employees’ skills and confidence with basic PC use and online productivity. Among the topics the program will cover are basic PC skills, cybersecurity awareness, training on Microsoft Office suite programs, Google Chrome and using a smartphone.

U.S. Cellular seeks to shrink 'homework gap' with YWCA Greater Green Bay

GREEN BAY -- U.S. Cellular is looking to shrink the "homework gap" in Northeast Wisconsin by donating 400 wireless hotspots to YWCA Greater Green Bay.
Nationally, the company will be donating $13 million as part of its After School Access Projects, which provides students with proper internet access for their schoolwork. Of that money, $400,000 is coming right to Green Bay.
