FedEx Ground selects J.J. Keller as Qualified Vendor of Trainer Certification Services

Neenah - FedEx Ground (FXG) has selected J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc. as an approved vendor to certify trainers at FXG’s Independent Service Providers (ISPs) to deliver qualified CMV driver safety training.
“Through our industry-leading trainer certification program, we’re able to give ISP trainers high-impact, onsite instruction for teaching their drivers to operate safely, prevent accidents and avoid violations,” said Dustin Kufahl, Director of Driver Training at J. J. Keller. “We pride ourselves on creating safer trainers so the ISPs can have better drivers, resulting in better business.”

A local company, perhaps best known for its toilet seats, will play a key role in a cancer awareness campaign in Washington, DC next week.
Bemis Manufacturing has teamed up with the leading advocacy organization, “Fight Colorectal Cancer”, by donating 100 toilet seats that will be displayed on the National Mall as part of Fight CRC’s “United in Blue” installation. Each seat will display an awareness fact or statistic about the disease, which is the second-most fatal cancer in the US. The seats will surround more than 27,000 blue flags on the National Lawn, each of them symbolizing a projected case of colorectal cancer in someone under age 50 by the year 2030.d growth, and I thank Sun Country Airlines for their investment in our region."...

Waupun lands $5 million grant for senior center

Last week Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers announced the city of Waupun will receive a nearly $5 million Neighborhood Investment Fund grant to help with the construction of a new senior center.

FVTC teaches English to Afghan refugees to help with new life in America

GRAND CHUTE -- Since coming to America refugees from Afghanistan have had to do a lot of adjusting. To help the Fox Valley Technical College has invited them into the classroom to learn English.
“Were really just trying to help them survive, have that English, get a good job,” Gillian Giles-Skelton, one of the ELL professors said.
Mohammad Ashrof Azimy was a dentist in Afghanistan. He trained at the Kabul Medical University and has five years of experience working in a hospital setting. Then in August 2021, he fled his home country during the large-scale airlift that took place in the final weeks of the United States’ withdrawal from Afghanistan....

GREEN BAY — The UW-Green Bay Teaching Press, the University’s unique teaching printing press, recently moved its full operation into the Brown County STEM Innovation Center. The move increases the program’s visibility and creates a unique collaboration between the arts and technology—a first-of-its-kind partnership in the community. The Teaching Press joins the University’s Richard J. Resch School of Engineering, The Einstein Project, Brown County Extension and Brown County’s Land and Water Conservation departments at the STEM Innovation Center.
