Michigan company buys old Clearwater Paper mill site, considers building apartments

FOX CROSSING -- A firm based in Menominee, Mich., says it purchased the former Clearwater Paper Company site in Fox Crossing and is considering turning some of the site into apartments.
According to KK Integrated Logistics, the purchase includes a 1.2 million square foot mill site on the east side of Lake Street and a 250,000 square foot warehouse on Lake Street’s west side.
The company is considering turning a six-story section of the mill into apartments overlooking Little Lake Butte des Morts, after a feasibility study is being done. The plan, for now, includes indoor parking and a rooftop outdoor area. The rest of the site may be converted into warehouse space once the mill equipment is removed and should be ready later this year...

ALGOMA -- John and Debbie Kiedrowski and son Chet Kiedrowski, owners of CTI Hospitality Inc., are pleased to announce the purchase of the “Monarch Building” at 340 North Water Street in Algoma, WI from Metal Ware Corp.
According to Debbie Kiedrowski, “For the immediate future, CTI will occupy part of the facility for its window trim production and the remainder of the space will be leased as warehousing. Long term, it is our goal to lease out space to other manufacturers that will employ locally and contribute to the Algoma economy. ”

New 'Super Plant' to be built by Green Bay Packaging in Fort Worth, Texas

Green Bay Packaging Inc. (GBP) announced they will begin construction of a new 600,000 square foot corrugator plant in Fort Worth, Texas. Construction on the site is set to begin in the first quarter of 2022 and startup operation is scheduled for the second quarter of 2023.
The new “super-plant” will be replacing GBP’s current 200,000 square foot corrugator plant in Fort Worth. GBP has operated a plant in Fort Worth for over 50 years. The new plant will be equipped with a new 110” Fosber corrugator and all new state-of-the-art high-speed flexo folder gluers and rotary die cutters...

Caravel Autism Health opens new location in downtown Oshkosh

OSHKOSH -- A new resource for families with children on the spectrum is now available in the Fox Valley. Caravel Autism Health opened the doors to its new location in Oshkosh in early December.
Caravel’s first center was opened in 2009 in Green Bay to deliver applied behavior analysis therapy to children on the autism spectrum. Since then it opened locations in five states, but all in bigger cities. The next closest centers of its kind are in Green Bay, Milwaukee, and Madison.
“We’ve reduced travel time for families that were driving 30-40 minutes one way for treatment in a different city. And for our current families, that has made a world of difference that they are not spending an hour to two hours in the car every day” Abby Amacher, the Director for the Oshkosh center said..

Green Bay's Copper State Brewing receives $3,000 tip from entrepreneur

GREEN BAY -- A Green Bay brewery and restaurant received a $3,000 tip from an entrepreneur as part of an effort to thank employees for their work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Marcus Lemonis, head of Camping World and host of several TV shows, presented the money to Copper State Brewing Co., 313 Dousman St. The business will share the $3,000 among employees.
“This surprise gift comes at the right time as our staff is so hardworking and was completely blown away by this kind gesture,” said owner Missy Martens. “We will definitely pay forward in the future.”.
