North Fond du Lac high school students are learning how to be entrepreneurs

FOND DU LAC -- Some North Fond du Lac high school students are budding entrepreneurs thanks to INCubatoredu. The class is teaching them what it takes to start a business and make a difference.
Chloe Burgert, Lily Heidl, and Laura Ayala are high school sophomores and also so “Hope on the Block”. That’s the non-profit they’re creating as part of their INCubatoredu class.
“The whole concept of the class is to get kids to start their own business, work with mentors in the community to start their process, and learn about the entrepreneurial mindset and hopefully start a thriving business,” says teacher, Kurt Wismer...
Two Sheboygan moms team up to try and open 24/7 daycare center
WBAY SHEBOYGAN -- Two Sheboygan mothers have teamed up to provide child care solutions they say are desperately needed in their community.
Their goal, is to open a 24/7 facility for parents who face obstacles finding child care.
Angel Berry and Nena Bemis co-founded the nonprofit, A Million Dreamz, together.
“There’s two big significant things that we’re doing that aren’t being done right now in the area. One of those is 24/7 and the other one is being 100% ADA accessible,” said Berry....

GREEN BAY – Rachelle O’Donnell-Lance is doing what she loves, and these days, she’s doing it on her own terms.
With 20 years experience as a professional chef on her resume, O’Donnell-Lance left the corporate world and, with the help of her husband Scott Lance, launched Blue Suede Foods, an eclectic-eats food truck on the streets of Green Bay.
A transplant from Detroit, O’Donnell-Lance moved to Green Bay in 1991.
As she wrapped up her culinary education at Fox Valley Technical College, she began working as a member of the Lambeau Field cooking team....
Local shop offers support to homeschooling parents

DE PERE – The 2021-22 school year marks the third school year affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The uncertainty brought on by it, especially in regards to school, prompted some parents to turn to homeschooling.
And as more parents transitioned into becoming their children’s educators, resources like The Homeschool Loft on George Street in De Pere, have extended a helping hand to support them.
“We knew we wanted to somehow… serve homeschoolers in the greater Green Bay area, but not knowing exactly how our vision would unfold,” Jenny Tetzner said...

Freedom High Schooler creates password generating app, wins Congressional App Challenge WFRV
FREEDOM -- Let’s give a big round of applause to the District 8 2021 Congressional App Challenge winner; Ryan Wagner.
The Freedom High School Senior got the chance to talk with Representative Mike Gallagher to discuss his interest in technology, the app itself, and the importance of young adults learning cyber technology-themed skills.
