FOND DU LAC – Have you tried poke in Fond du Lac yet? An opportunity has just opened up downtown.
Hang 10 Poke moved earlier this month from the Exxon gas station on South Main Street to the former En.courage Nutrition space, 74 S. Main St., Suite 104.
Owner Kean O'Brien started the poke business in 2021 at the Fond du Lac Farmers Market, offering fresh and customizable poke bowls featuring proteins like tuna, crab, ponzu salmon and avocado, with a variety of toppings.
Poke, which originated in Hawaii, is traditionally made of cubed raw tuna with sea salt and kukui nuts, but has evolved to incorporate ingredients from other cultures like Japan and Korea, O'Brien said....

Wisconsinites who enjoy spending their time on Lake Michigan are no stranger to zebra mussels – an invasive creature that’s not only made its home within the vast body of water, but often congregates on boats and other surfaces.
Army veteran Tyler Rezachek is one such Wisconsinite. His frustration with constantly having to clean mussels off of his boat led him to identify a problem that was the catalyst for the creation of his startup AntiMussel.
Rezachek truly began relying on his entrepreneurial side after joining the Army in 2008 and serving over four years as a Chinook helicopter mechanic. His transition to civilian life was less than smooth.....

The Two Rivers native owns All Energy Management, 4711 Woodland Drive, Two Rivers. The business manufactures, installs and maintains wind turbines, which turn wind energy into electricity.
Sleger established the business in 2016, providing turbines to farmers, business and large residential homes. All Energy has expanded to include several employees and has moved from its downtown Two Rivers site to Woodland Drive....

Devour WI, which has already garnered rave reviews from locals through its catering, will officially open its new restaurant the second week of January. The eatery will feature an eclectic menu that offers unique takes on comfort food and other favorites. When asked to describe the menu at Devour WI, chef and owner Dennis Erdly replied: “We’re different. We’re a whole new food experience. “I did the lemonade stands several times as a child, but it wasn't until my mid- to late-20s I thought I would try being an entrepreneur,” she said.
