Subject: 🍇Wine Tasting Thursday 5PM!!!

2017 William Chris Vineyards Petillant Naturel Rose
Texas, USA
Merlot, Mourvèdre, and Malbec

Sparkling and bottled before primary fermentation, with no added yeasts or sugars. It's a conversation-starter as well as a testament to the creativity and innovation right now of the wine industry in Texas

The winemaking team at William Chris bottled the first Pétillant Naturel in 2014. Pétillant Naturel translates to “naturally sparkling” and uses one of the oldest known methods for making wine called Mèthode Ancestrale. Winemakers stop the first fermentation process before it has completed and then bottle the wine, enclosing it with a crown cap to follow tradition. It then continues to undergo fermentation after its bottled, which lends to the creation of the natural bubbles.

Aromas of strawberries and cream, raspberry and subtle citrus peel. On the palate, a rich minerality mixes with citrus, stone fruit, and strawberry. A touch of flint supports its lingering finish.

2014 Bodegas Ismael Arroyo Val Sotillo
Finca Buenavista
Ribera del Duero, Spain
Tempranillo

The grapes are picked up by hand and put in small baskets by selecting them from the same vineyards. The vines follow the traditional system of pruning in glass. Vineyards located at 850 metres over the sea level in Sotillo de la Ribera.

Dark red color, cherry rim. Toasted aromas, spicy, and slightly creamy oak. Rich and tasty in the mouth, fruity and well balanced.

2017 Alix Carlin Sancerre
Loire Valley, France
Sauvignon Blanc

Limestone (caillottes) vineyards; generous, with a fine balance and a dry refreshing mineral finish; a great value!
