You will be knocked out by the quality of this whisky for the price! The Mars distillery is very well regarded in Japan. A majority of corn balanced with light malt aged in ex bourbon barrels. Ideal for daily sipping, in a mint julep or an old fashioned. Perfect for the Dad who wants to be surprised with something new and interesting.

Sweet with fruit flavors like pear, quince and hints of red fruits and vanilla. The fat stills produce a very weighty and complex spirit and despite the youth and lower ABV. Iwai has a richness and complex aromas and texture that many of the other entry level Japanese whiskies do not achieve.

This malt driven spirit is truly a reflection of contemporary Japanese whisky. Incredibly balanced and layered. A blending of sherry, bourbon and wine casks with hints of delicate peat make for a harmonious whisky that would make Iwai-san proud.

Ripe Cherry, honey toffee with a beautiful ginger spice and hint of smoke. For the Whisky Drinker who likes a little bit of smokey sweetness.
