"Over time, it was discovered that rum could not only be made directly from cane juice, but also from sugar manufacturing’s main by-product - molasses. Availability of low cost molasses has fueled large scale, industrial production of poor quality rum. As a consequence, rum’s reputation has suffered, overshadowing the unique qualities of authentic rum made directly from cane juice.
By contrast, Richland Rum is specifically crafted to accentuate the beautiful vegetal notes and floral qualities of pure cane syrup, using time honored techniques and authentic equipment.
