In their sixth edition bottling of Flaming Heart, a top blended malt that pairs the rich, bold spiciness of malt whisky aged in heavy-toasted oak barrels with smoky heavy-peated Islay malt whisky. Big Bold, hauntingly smoky, with an alluring ethereal sweetness that calls you back for more.
In this 2018 Edition, Compass Box has reintroduced a subtle Sherry cask influence that adds an additional layer of complexity and richness.
Compass Box was lunched in 2000, with John Glaser at the helm.
They released their first bottling of Flaming Heart back in 2006 and the pairing of French-oak matured whisky with peated whisky was a new, exciting venture. Still exciting today, too.
