Melon de Bourgogne Loire, France
$18 bottle
50 year old vines from a 14th century old estate. Lean, tight and rocky, complex with nice minerality. Pairs nicely with fish and other seafood. The Wine Advocate - “This offering is light-bodied, dry, stony, and comes alive in the glass... it represents a terrific value for a wine of such class.” |

2014 Domaine de Bernier Vin de Pays du Val de Loire Chardonnay
Loire, France
$15 bottle
The former family seat of the Loré de la Ragotière family, the Château (14th century) and the thirty hectare estate were bought by the Couillaud brothers in 1979. This soil of schist and micaschist produces late-maturing and well-structured wines, particularly good for keeping. Value-priced chardonnay, crisp and bright pairs well with seafood, and hard cheeses.
