At just 30 years of age, this is Riccardo Baldi’s 12th commercial vintage, and it’s pretty clear from this stellar 2017 that practice makes perfect. Made from 100% organic grapes fermented in tank.

Ian d'Agata, in his superb book Native Grapes of Italy, says that "Verdicchio is arguably Italy's greatest native white grape variety.” One taste of the spectacular wines from La Staffa and you will wholeheartedly agree!

Intense and refined notes of grapefruit, kiwi, acacia and heather. Fresh fragrant acidity with fresh almonds on the finish. Sublime for Seafood and Shellfish pairing.




Made from Sangiovese and Colorino grapes that ripen slowly due to the quite high location of the vineyards; 30% of the maturation occurs in barrels for 8 months and the remaining in steel. To the eye, the wine has a ruby red color and the smell is typical of an elegant wine, fine and fresh with notes and aromas of red fruit, typical of the excellent preservation of the fruit. The palate is well balanced with acidity and tannins, which is evidence of its freshness.

100% Groppello Gentile, fermentation takes place in small cement tanks and oak barrels without the use of selected yeast.
 Bright, ruby red color; intense aromas of red fruit, raspberries and currants, against a floral background that recalls lightly dried violets and roses.

On the palate, it has a full, soft taste and a fresh acidity, ending with a good persistence. An ideal wine for all meals, it goes well with roasted red meat dishes, salted pork and fresh, seasoned cheese provided that it is not particularly savory.
