Subject: Free Wine from India Tasting Thursday 9/24 6 - 8PM!

This Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00PM taste something new and be at the forefront of the Indian wine revolution with Sula Vineyards Shiraz and receive a 10% discount on this wine today only!

Situated 180 km northeast of Mumbai, Nashik is India’s largest grape-growing region, but had traditionally never been used to grow wine grapes until 1993 when Stanford-trained engineer Rajeev Samant realized the Nashik climate was not only perfect for wine grapes, but was also on par with winegrowing regions in Spain, California, and Australia. Rajeev partnered with Sonoma County winemaker Kerry Damskey who enthusiastically agreed to help start a winery on Rajeev’s 30 acre family estate.

Sula has since rapidly established itself as India’s Leading Premium Wine Producer. In November 2002, Wine Spectator did a five-page feature on Sula, a proud first for an Indian winery. Sula has since expanded from the original 30 acre family estate to about 1,800 acres, both in Nashik as well as in nearby Dindori, India’s upcoming wine region.
