2014 Alkoomi
Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc
Frankland River, Western Australia

$16 bottle

Fruit was harvested at optimal ripeness in the early hours of the morning and pressed to tank. After cold settling the juice was fermented in tank and kept on lees post fermentation to improve mouthfeel and complexity, before an early bottling to retain freshness.

Fresh flavors of citrus with punchy flavors of passionfruit are balanced by a fine mineral acidity giving length to the palate.

2014 Tim Smith Bugalugs
Shiraz
Barossa Valley, South Australia

$22 bottle

A blend of vineyards across the breadth of the Barossa. Mostly older (French) oak, medium bodied and bottled without fining or filtration.

A rich and full-bodied wine with juicy fruit flavors and soft tannins. Dangerously easy to drink.
2013 Alpha Crucis Wits End Luna
Shiraz
McLaren Valley, South Australia

$18 bottle

Mainly from the certified organic Wits' End vineyard, a site named for the aggravation caused by the heavy black clay, known as Gilgai, Bay of Biscay or Terra Noir, that makes the vineyard virtually inaccessible in winter. Oldest vines planted 1973. Primary ferment is finished in barrel with malolactic fully in oak. Aging for fourteen months in oak, with an additional two in tank. No fining or filtration.

Aromatic nose of dark berry fruit with savory floral and spice notes with hints of roasted nuts. Vibrant red berry fruits burst onto the palate with  notes of spicy plums. Fine savory tannins linger on the palate.
