Subject: The prophecy that is you - Sacred Feminine Awakening

Hello Friend,
Many of you know my beloved, Jeffrey Burger, as the guy who keeps everything ticking at MisaHopkins.com and Sacred Feminine Awakening.

I count my blessings every day for someone so talented to be helping me support you in your journey.

You probably don't know that Jeffrey is an author and talented writer in his own right. This week he posted his thoughts about death, life, and personal prophecy as he reflected on David Bowie's recent passing.

He offers such beautiful insights, I thought you might appreciate an opportunity to experience his timely and meaningful reflections.

Holding you in my heart and songs,

Tributes following David Bowie's death have nearly broken the Internet this week. While I, too, was affected by his passing, I'd like to offer a somewhat different thought about the mourning frenzy.

Even while our idols are alive, we look up to what we at least perceive as people at the top of their game—and wrestle with the inner demons they unleash about why WE aren’t standing in a similar pool of spotlight.

Then, when we lose a truly shining star like Bowie, it triggers more than just the reminder of our own mortality that we experience when a loved one passes. It unlocks floodgates holding back the lament and challenge that most of us have not completely realized our full potential and have only made a dent in the work we know we came here to do—and that there’s only so much time left to do it. At these moments, the clock ticks a lot louder.

So, what did you come here to do? What gift are you meant to be to the world? What will you do differently TODAY to really move the needle on the meter and live fully into the prophecy that is you? What old, comfortable backstory about what holds you back needs to be rewritten?

That said, even great achievers like Bowie are never satisfied. He spoke of a dark period that lasted for years despite great success. More recently, all indications are that, at 69, he thought he still had a few more albums in him—presumably with increasingly lofty aspirations.

Certainly, artistic angst can be a great catalyst. Yet all too often it is unnecessarily a source of great struggle and discontentment—which, perversely, can directly inhibit our abilities to manifest that for which we long the most.

So… what if the someday of your dreams was now? What would you need to do—and more importantly, feel—to be truly happy with where you are right now? And now? And now?

“We can be heroes, forever and ever.”
