Right now on the planet, we are seeing the greatest number of species extinction since the dinosaur age, according to biologicaldiversity.org.
It’s because of us, and changes we have made in the planet’s various eco-systems.
Many years ago, I worked at the Humane Society, and while I was there I saw animal cruelty at its worst—from abused pets, to the slaughter houses, to testing cruelty.
On the brighter side, I saw thousands of animals being saved and finding loving homes. So I know the power of loving and respecting all animals—and creating environments in which they can thrive.
