Do you have relatives that just make you crazy?
I remember a lot of stressful family gatherings, where not only my buttons were getting pushed, but so were other family members' buttons.
What I wanted more than anything was to simply enjoy them, and for them to enjoy me.
Now when we get together for special occasions, we really do just enjoy each other. It feels wonderful to be able to hang out with my family knowing that we may not always understand each other, but we respect and love one another.
Holidays are a time when we can be trying so hard to make everything special that we forget what actually makes the Holidays special—to discover something about each family member that we appreciate and even enjoy.

Is there anything more important to do than to love someone that might even be having a difficult time allowing themselves to be loved?
And how much love to you feel for yourself when you've Held someone in grace, even if they weren't able to do that for you.
Did you know you can use The Holding meditation right now to make your time with family even better for you?
You can Hold yourself, and even your family members, prior to ever seeing them. Bring attention to the love in the space between you to create your best opportunity for an enjoyable time together.
It's wise to Hold in such a way that you do not create resistance from the person you want to Hold. This brief article describes what you need to do to Hold another person safely.
