Subject: 2023 is coming. Have a look at what is new.

New courses offered, certification requirement for new students is changing to meet the Professional Board requirements.

NB is growing and changing to meet

the demands of the world today.

Announcing new classes

Due to increased training requirements in the UK and Canada, the English program has expanded to 594 hours. The full NB 1-6 and auxiliary classes for certification meet the new standards required for professional training, keep pace with the other disciplines, and the public's desire to have specialists with deeper training. This was approved by the Board of NB Global this fall and takes effect on Jan 1, 2023.

All students starting NB 1 after January 1st will need to meet the new requirements to gain certification. Students currently training will finish on the program they started on. Existing practitioners may want to pick up some of the new courses as CPD/CE credits or refresher classes.

The full Training Course (English program)

NB 1-6 forms the core requirements of all new students to certify. The additional requirements are:

  • 11-hour Ethics for Practitioners class

  • 120 hour Energetic Anatomy and Physiology program (60 hour classroom and 60 hours study via Study.com)

  • 60 hours of credit (10 hours per level) for the Reading Requirements with the question sheets to demonstrate the learning.
(You already do the work, and now you get actual credit for it.)

The Energetic A&P consists of six 10-hour classes. It will cover the standard A&P basics and include the energy anatomy and correlations to the energetic system. These classes will be introduced in Sept 2023. They are open to anyone who needs to take A&P or wants to repeat it to get a greater understanding of the correlation between anatomy and energy.

The Reading Requirements were incorporated into each level in 2019, and now provides 10 hours credit per level. The standard case studies, journaling, portfolio requirements, and course assessments remain the same.

For the UK; this meets the CNHC requirements without needing to take the TFH 120 hours as currently required. The FHT has approved the program. We are still negotiating with the KF on their acceptance of the program.

For Canada; this is still 200+ hours short of the recognition requirements, however, the 200 hours can be completed through supervised paid sessions as a practicum requirement.

Both the Ethics and Energy Anatomy will be taught by Dr Thibaud d’Oultremont, Ethics will be offered once a year starting in January. This year's class begins Jan 6 and runs through Mar 10 with an exam to follow. The cost is just $195 USD (may be paid in 3 monthly payments of $65 USD). the 2023 class is open to all practitioners and students. It will be held on 12 noon Friday EST in North America which is 4 pm Friday in the UK.

Why are we adding ethics when we already have it built in?

While we already talk about ethics in every class, the Ethics course is about application and looks deeper into how we make ethical decisions and how to figure out what to do in increasingly difficult situations where your ethics and beliefs may not match those of your client or fellow student. Watch for the email with all the details. There will be a class starting in January for all qualified practitioners and those students currently in the program. You can take it as CPD/CE credits.

Have questions? Chat with your instructor.

The instructors have been taking the ethics classes first to test them out and to be able to help you when you take them. You may also email Dr. Thibaud or Linda Easthouse if you have questions about transfer credits for courses already taken. If it covers the same material we will accept it. If you are already certified and completed ethics, it is already accepted. You are still welcome to take it as a refresher/update.

KO CYCLE UPDATES

Mary Beth has graciously created a 2 part (4 hours each) update for those who have taken the KO CYLCE work earlier, or want to take it now. The work has all been incorporated into NB 4, 6, and 7. Part 1 covers the work now in NB 4 and 6. Part 2 is the work from NB 7. Email her directly for details and registration. Much of the work has been simplified if you took it long ago.

THE GALA

The Gala was a wonderful time to hear from Jane Thurnel-Read, Vivian Klein, Eva-Maria Willner and others about the early years. We wanted to express our deep gratitude and appreciation for all the early teachers and practitioners that grew the vision and made the magic of NB into what it is today. If you missed it you can watch the replay here.

UPCOMING CLASSES

Please check out the class calendar. Looking for a class? Ask your instructor or message Linda. There may be more in the works that aren't on the list yet. Some classes are available in person again while others will continue to be offered online.
