He walked you through clips from the film, behind-the-scenes footage and still photos, describing all his techniques and workarounds. And then imagine you got to ask him anything at all about how he made the film, what his influences were, what worried him, what didn't. All before he was famous, when he was an open book...
Well, this Thursday you'll be given that opportunity, kind of, when I interview the Weaver Brothers, the filmmaking duo behind the unbelievable no-budget wonder Cosmos. Yeah, that's a big claim, to call them the next Chris Nolan, but I actually worked with Chris Nolan on Following, so give me some leeway on this. These guys are the real deal, and I promise, you will be hearing much more from the Weavers as the years go on.
I've put together a great program and I can tell you, Elliot and Zander Weaver are going to be amazing. They're so gracious, so open, so honest, and yes, so talented. We're probably going a little longer than my past NBC's, but we're going to cram a ton of knowledge and inspiration into 2 hours plus.
