Subject: It's Not Too Late...

ONLINE CLASS
REMINDER:
No-Budget Feature Case Study:
The Making of "DriverX"
Starts Tuesday!
So, yes, it's not too late to sign up for my all-new online class--a deep-dive into how I made, marketed and distributed my no-budget feature film DriverX. And while I'm sure I'll teach it again in the future, as our lives slowly get back to some kind of normal, there probably won't be a better time to take this class than NOW.

Because of COVID, you're likely home, and I'm definitely home, in the middle of the day. I am teaching this class at 2pm on Tuesdays and Thursday (Pacific time). While I will definitely be teaching more online (this and new courses I'm cooking up), I don't know how much longer I'll be able to teach at these kinds of times of the day, and I don't know how much longer you'll be able to take them like this. Likely in the future, I'll have to teach them more in the evening (which might be too late for some of you), or only on the weekends, which is hard in its own way.

So, if this week and next you're still sitting at home, take advantage of the flexible hours and join me. I promise this class will shed some light on what's always been a somewhat mysterious process--how to spin straw into gold. Or rather, how to get a viable movie out of only a few bucks--certainly fewer bucks than it should rightly cost.
Again, the course covers 8 Sections over four 2-hour sessions:
  1. Key Principles of Successful No-Budget Filmmaking
  2. Development & Casting
  3. Budgeting & Financing
  4. Crew & Equipment
  5. Post Production & Festival Strategy
  6. Final Costs & Delivery
  7. Distribution
  8. Marketing
You will learn...
  • How the film was developed and designed to shoot for “no money”
  • My one-of-a-kind "no-budget" Budgeting Process
  • How numerous “name” actors were persuaded to work on the film for SAG Ultra-Low Budget scale
  • How the film was financed using personal funds and Kickstarter
  • The innovative post workflow used to complete the film
  • Exactly how much was spent in each budget category
  • The Film Festival Strategy developed for the film
  • The Marketing & Publicity techniques applied
  • The details of Distribution that are usually kept secret
  • And much, much more...
The 4 sessions take place on:

Tuesday, May 26th • 2pm-4pm PT (5pm-7pm ET)
Thursday, May 28th • 2pm-4pm PT (5pm-7pm ET)
Tuesday, June 2nd • 2pm-4pm PT (5pm-7pm ET)
Thursday, June 4th • 2pm-4pm PT (5pm-7pm ET)

And don't forget, because you subscribe to my list, you're entitled to a Subscriber discount on the class--20% Off.  Just use the Promo Code SUBS when you register on Eventbrite.

I look forward to seeing you on Zoom on Tuesday!
