Subject: New Video: Listening To Bird Language "Song Rhythms"

Hey!

I just published a new video that shares one of the most important bird language listening skills with live examples straight from the field.

We’re going to talk about how you can tune into the "rhythms" of bird sounds in order to establish a baseline and being able to hear/feel the moment when predators like hawks and nest robbers enter the area.

Check it out here!

What you’ll learn in today’s video:

  • A key distinction for accurately listening to bird language without making the most common error of judgement.

  • The importance of listening to bird language “rhythms” (and how to hear these rhythms in any bird sound).

  • A live example of song rhythms in the voice and behavior of ovenbirds.

  • What does it actually mean when you hear birds singing?

  • Learning to FEEL the moment when a forest shifts from harmony into alarm.

  • Bird language & wildlife tracking are the exact same skill using two different senses.

I had so much fun recording this video because it was one of those magical spring days when bird language is in full swing and ripe with lessons to share. I think you’ll really enjoy it too!
