Subject: Friend Your compassion means our Karims get a second chance

Assalamu Alaykum Friend

These are truly the blessed nights. The nights of giving Zakat.

The 27th may have been last night for you Friend. Or it may still be ahead of you.

Today we want to share a story with you that shows the criticality of both Zakat and Sadaqah directed locally into our community. This is the story of our brother Karim.

Karim was a young and ambitious Muslim who came to Australia as a migrant with high hopes of starting a new and successful life.

Karim found a job at Uber as a driver, and he was able to save up just enough from one pay check to another to maintain his daily expenses.

One day at work, Karim was involved in a car accident which cost him his license and his job. He was evicted from his rental property and resorted to sleeping in the streets or on park benches while relying on the kindness of strangers to keep him going 😢

A friend referred him to NZF. And we helped him turn his life around. We want to share with you Friend what we did to do so.

It is the Zakat of those people who pay Zakat with NZF that helps make this possible. But it's also the Sadaqah of those who empower us to grow and to serve more people like Karim.

If you're yet to give Zakat, considering giving Zakat with NZF this year to help us transform our community through more instances of helping those like Karim.

And IF you've already done so, support us with Sadaqah in these blessed nights to help us transform our community!

May Allah reward you!

Karim's story is one, but there are many more. And they relate generally to a segment of our community that we sometimes think doesn't exist, but very much does: the poor and needy.

There are Muslims IN OUR MIDST who have no food in their fridge or pantry, and don’t know where the next meal is coming from

😔 Muslims who literally have no home or have no stable accommodation and are effectively classified as homeless.

Since 2013, NZF has helped thousands of Muslims out of poverty and need through the blessing of Zakat directed locally here in Australia. But there are thousands more that need our help.

On these blessed nights of Ramadan (and the 27th in the case of those doing local sighting!), let your Zakat help transform our community for the better by looking after our poor and needy.
