Assalamu Alaykum Friend,

We wanted to let you know that NZF Australia is once again bringing the practical aspects of Qurban distribution to our local community. With the cost of living crisis we are experiencing right now, every little bit of assistance is needed.

Cost for a Qurban
The cost for a Qurban is $200 per sheep (includes costs of processing and distribution of the meat).

If you would like to reserve a share for yourself, please indicate this preference when you book your Qurban. Collection options are only available in Melbourne & Sydney at this stage. However, Qurban orders are open to people living anywhere in Australia.

It was reported that Ibn `Abbas said that the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) would keep one third of the udhiyah for his family, distribute another third among his poor neighbours, and keep the remaining third to distribute among those who come to beg him for food.

Collection Options

If you are in Melbourne or Sydney, we recommend that you collect a portion of the Qurban. You may choose to receive one, or two thirds of each Qurban that you have ordered. Once Dhul Hijjah is announced, we will email and/or SMS you the address of the collection points in Melbourne & Sydney. There will be a specified period during which you can collect your Qurban upon presenting your NZF receipt.
