Earlier last month we had announced our partnership with the Islamic Museum of Australia, committing both institutions to working together in promoting the contribution of Australian Muslims to the wider Australian community.
We are glad to announce our first event as part of the Victorian Mosque Open Day initiative on Sunday, 15 April 2018.
Museum Open Day - Sunday, 15 April 2018
We are glad to announce that the IMA in conjunction with NZF will be hosting FREE entry to the Museum on Sunday, 15 April 2018.
We have an interesting program lined up to show case Islamic Art, the pillars of Islam as well as some live entertainment!
Program - 10 AM, 12 PM and 3 PM - Guided tour of the Museum with detailed information of all exhibits and opportunity for Q&A with a fully trained guide.
- 11 AM - 1 PM - Information session on two of the pillars of Islam - Hajj and Zakat by Abu Muneer Ismail Davids, author of best selling Hajj Guide "Getting the best out of Al Hajj" and CEO of the National Zakat Foundation
- 11 AM - 2 PM - Kids activity to build your own mosque. Kids will be guided to construct and decorate a model mosque that they can take home!
- 2 PM - Live performance by Boona Mohammed, internationally recognised Muslim artist.
