Local Qurban for Local Need
|
|
Assalamualaikum Friend,
Last Year, Abdul Rahman and his family of 6 (Rohingyan refugees) were one of 60 needy families to whom NZF distributed locally slaughtered Qurban as part of our Local Qurban for Local Need program. |
|
What is the Local Qurban for Local Need project?
We started this project in 2013 with an aim to bring the practical aspect of the Qurban into the local community here in Australia. We encourage donors to take a share of the Qurban to enjoy with friends & family, while at the same time benefiting the local needy right here in our backyards.
- Started in 2013 with Qurban of 15 sheep; distribution in Sydney only, with private donors.
- Expanded in 2015 with Qurban of 25 sheep.
- Expanding further in 2016 with Qurban of 100 sheep; distributing in Melbourne & Sydney; open to public donors.
