Assalamualaikum,
As many of us are looking forward to the end of Ramadan and Eid festivities, I wanted to remind you that there are many people who live in our midst who are not as fortunate. I am not reminding you about this because I'm encouraging you to donate more money. I trust you have done enough of that during Ramadan and for that your reward is with Allah alone.
I am reminding you about this because often, people in need around us don't know where to go for help, do not speak up or are simply scared. It is our responsibility to show those in need, the path to assistance during these difficult times.
This is what we at NZF do every single day. Help people here in Australia, who need our help. Types of cases we assist vary widely, but to give you an idea, some of the common areas are below. - Homelessness due to domestic violence and/or poverty.
- Reverts struggling due to marriages that don't work out or families that mistreat them.
- Young adults struggling with drugs / alcohol, often due to broken families.
- Refugees / Asylum seekers who have been released in the community but are struggling with medical expenses, school fees or other basic needs.
- Funeral expenses.
- Travellers in difficulty here in Australia.
- A serious incident in the family such as a death or medical emergency, rendering the primary income earner unable to earn for the family temporarily.
If you, or anyone you know is in need of any assistance, please contact us immediately by calling us on 1300 663 729.
The quickest way to apply for assistance is via our website by click below. |

| | | Couch Surfing - sounds like fun? |
| Couch surfing. The term means different things to different people. For 5 year old Christina it meant looking for a different place to live every second day. Since she was 5, Christina was no stranger to being in and out of refuges, foster care, living on the streets, begging for a place to sleep, abusing drugs and more. But over the years some things had changed.
Click here to read more about how Christina became Fathima and how NZF assisted her with some of the difficulties in her life. People like Christina live right here in Australia, and need our assistance but often don't know where to go.

This is the one thing I would love for you to remember for the rest of the year. Please keep your eyes & ears open and remember, we at NZF are here should you or anyone you know need any help.
As we farewell this blessed month of Ramadan, I'd like to share this beautiful dua with you
"Ya Allah this blessed month of Ramadan is now coming to an end, please help me to remain steadfast in your Deen. Grant me the knowledge of Deen. Ya Allah, you are truly merciful, please forgive me. Choose for me, what is best. Ya Allah help me to succeed in this life and the hereafter. Ya Allah, if I have been in anyway ungrateful, unjust, dishonest; please forgive me. Ya Allah, I don't know if i'll be alive next Ramadan, please forgive me. Grant me a place in paradise. Save me from hell fire. Ya Allah, include me in the people who will be put in heaven without accountibility. Ya Allah, help me to spread your Deen in the best of ways. Ya Allah please let me not be among the backbiters. Ya Allah forgive me if I have been among the arrogant. Grant us success. Verily you are most forgiving, most merciful."
As always, please do keep the NZF team in your duas, that we are able to carry this work for Allah's sake, remaining sincere to His cause.
