Assalamu Alaykum Friend,

It is time to talk about something that many in our community haven't engaged as fully as we need to. Addictions.

Addictions to drugs. To gambling. To pornography. To alcohol. Addictions are real. And like all communities, they also impact the Muslim community. 

Unfortunately, the impact of addictions on individuals and families is often brushed under the carpet. But addictions are destroying individuals and their families in our midst, and not enough is being done to support them through the ethos of care that we need to have as a community.

This November, NZF is running a campaign to raise awareness about the impacts of addictions in our community and what we are doing to fight those impacts.

Through the power of our community's Zakat and Sadaqah, our programs & partnerships with delivery partners help provide crucial services such as:

• Urgent financial support & intervention;

• Mental Health Services;

• Care coordination and crucial networking;

• And much more.
