Subject: Friend, thanks for being part of the NZF family!

Assalamu alaykum Friend,

Each Ramadan as I look back to the last, I can't help but think of the privilege we have had, with your support, in implementing the pillar of Zakat as we head into our 8th Ramadan together this year. 


On behalf of the NZF team and all tens of thousands of other people we have been able to assist, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to you - JazakAllah khairan for trusting us with your Zakat!

As someone who has been part of our NZF family, we thought you should know how much your support, your Zakat and Sadaqah, has meant to the Muslims in need around Australia.

Together since 2013, with your help and the blessings of Allah ﷻ, we have:


  • Raised and distributed more than 10 Million AUD in Zakat funds.

  • Assisted more than 14,000 Muslims in need.

  • Fed Muslim families in need with almost 1 Million worth of Food Vouchers from local vendors.

  • Helped almost 90 Thousand people calculate their Zakat correctly via our Online Calculator.

  • Educated local communities, families and youth about Zakat through many of our ongoing initiatives like - the annual Zakat Tours, Sisters Workshops, Online Zakat Guides and more.

  • Supported victims on the frontline during times of need following the Rohingya refugee crisis, Australian bushfire disaster (especially in 2019), Christchurch massacre (to name a few).

  • Provided frontline assistance to people most vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Established almost 15 new Community Programs (and counting) with specialised services for Muslims from all walks of life.

Some of you have also been asking me about setting up a daily donations system for Ramadan. Our team has been working on this for you - they will be setting it up on our website this week, and I'll make sure you're one of the first people to know.

You'll never miss out on a day of charity, even during Laylatul Qadr!

As we head into Ramadan, I pray that you get the opportunity to enjoy the sweetness of this month and reconnect with the local community for the sake of Allah ﷻ. Most importantly, I pray that your continual support earns you the Love, Mercy and Blessings of Allah ﷻ this Ramadan until the next, inshaAllah.
