We are hurtling at speed through the blessed month of Ramadan. We pray your month has been full of blessings, community and barakah.

For us, it's been a month of incredibly positive engagement with our community around the topic of Zakat. We've been present more visibly than ever before, encouraged by a community that continues to see the critical place of Zakat right here in Australia as a catalyst for changing our community's condition and transforming thousands of lives.

We've been at many more shopping centers, bus stops and generally out there in the community. This has led to a lot of interest in what Zakat can do to empower Muslims right here in Australia and led to some crucial conversations.

One of the crises that has come into focus is homelessness. We'd like to share some thoughts (below in this email) on what Zakat can do to change the condition of the homeless in our community, who exist in numbers greater than many of us realise. How can the potential of Zakat change their lives? Check out some of our thoughts below.
