Friend, If you didn't know, I grew up on a multi-generational hippy ranch in the coastal mountains of Oregon, there were sheep, cattle, horses and lots of trees.

When I was 20 years old I returned to Oregon from 3 months traveling in Europe and decided to move to San Francisco. Then to Colorado to finish my undergraduate degree, always saying to myself "I'm not a city girl, I'll find my way back to the country soon."

Yet life, work and love kept me in a city. All the outdoors activities the Rocky Mountains had to offer created a good balance for me during those years. 25 years later I finally returned to my roots.

When I found the land I now call home, in 2017, a 20+ acre farm in central Oregon, the property had been neglected, but I'm nostalgic when it comes to old farms with silvered barn wood and rustic features that have survived many generations.

I knew it would be a lot of work. I had love blinders on, and the land called to me.

As I walked the land the first time, I felt the healing it needed and imagined small groups of soulful friends gathering here to be held in its wisdom.

Part of what attracted me was its ecological diversity. There are three-hundred year old juniper trees out back. Native bunch grass and moss on the lava rock that is black when its dry and turns bright green when wet.

I call it mood moss because it reminds me of a mood ring. 

There is a lower pasture is adjacent to a sandy area that is surrounded by juniper trees, tucked away from road -- when we water the field a beautiful bubbling brook tumbles down the hillside.

The seeds of my dreams were planted surrounded by this rugged beauty. Without a timeline or specifics, simply intention and a request for guidance from the divine.
