Identifying as a sensitive person helps some of us make sense of feeling the energy around us that can’t be explained. That sensitivity is not always simply having a stressful response in the mind, body or emotions to situations you encounter. Many sensitives are getting signals from their sixth sense. It activates a stress response when it disrupts their own senses.

Here’s some ways this other type of sensitivity shows up. Energy sensitivity is having a conversation with a co-worker and walking away nauseated even though the words exchanged were nothing out of the ordinary. You felt their anger, fear or competition.

Energy sensitivity is having someone repeatedly disrupt your thoughts who is not willing to have direct communication with you. They are getting in your head. Thus, the image “you are always on my mind.”
