Subject: I used to do this every day—until I found something better

Here’s my long-term solution

When I was working at a tech company, surrounded by stressed-out co-workers, I had a habit of escaping to the gym on my lunch hour.

It wasn’t because I loved the treadmill, Friend.

By noon every day, I felt overwhelmed from sensing the stress, anger, and anxiety present in the building.

I didn’t know what to do with it.

Working out was the only way I could think to release some of the energy that was weighing me down.

So I spent my lunch hour at the gym.

And it helped, Friend! At least, for a couple of hours.

When I went back to the office after my lunch break, those same sensations would build up. In the evening, at home, I’d need time alone to decompress. I kept overly busy to avoid my overwhelm.

I knew I needed a longer-lasting solution, one that would help me protect myself so I didn’t end up feeling so much. It was exhausting.

I started to study energy.

I found a mentor, and also began to explore my intuitive nature at a clairvoyant school in Denver, Colorado.

Among many other benefits, these experiences taught me how to:

Set boundaries that protect myself from other people’s negative energy

Recognize my energy “leaks” and retain my own energy

Use my intuitive sensitivity to enrich my life, instead of draining the life out of me

I’ve spent over 25 years studying and practicing these skills.

And for the last six, I’ve also taught them to energy-sensitive people like you, Friend.

I use what’s worked for me to help my students create a sustainable practice so they can live fully as their authentic selves—without sacrificing their mental or physical health.

If that thought makes you breathe a little easier, explore the Empath Strength Training membership here.

Tomorrow you can try it out free in my live class at 6pm Pacific/9pm Eastern.
