Years ago I learned that we often show others our love in the ways that make us feel loved, yet if we tune-in to what feels like love to the other person, the intimacy that creates is much more fulfilling for us both.

I see Valentines as reminder to show love to those we care about, not just romantic love.

p.s. Meaningful experiences and words of appreciation are my love languages... but thoughtful gifts make me feel warm and fuzzy too.
