Friend, Lavender fields have always lifted my spirit. So I planted one.
Last summer was my first harvest. I spent mornings before my first client sessions harvesting lavender and hanging it to dry in the barn. Or sitting in the shade to handwrap the smudge bundles. As I worked, I held the intention that whoever used these sacred creations would be blessed and receive answers to their prayers.
Then the distiller arrived and I learned how to turn lavender flowers into oil and hydrosol (water with the essence of lavender). The earthy calming aroma steamed in the air as the oil and water separated. While I waited, I hand processed the dry lavender buds.
When the nights started getting darker and days cooler, I was heating up my handmade flaxseed warming pad and I realized how wonderful it would be to have one with the lavender scent. So I started sewing.
None of these ideas existed before I decided to grow lavender. Just a dream to have a lavender field and trust that when the time came I'd know what to do with it.
That's a little bit of the story behind this year's holiday bundle. It blends my farm life and energy healing work into one lovely collection, cultivated and created for you.
