Dear Friend, 😊
I recently had a call with someone who’s been following me online for years. During our chat, she asked me:
“Are you just coaching private clients now, or do you still work with soulpreneurs?”
Her question didn’t surprise me, but this might surprise you...
Working with soulpreneurs on their business goals and marketing communication is firmly in my zone of brilliance. After 30 years, I could practically do it blindfolded and on one foot (seriously!). But I don't talk about it much lately.
You see …
It’s not the topic of marketing or the business side of things that excites me most – it’s the people I get to support.
Helping those who transform lives master entrepreneurship so they can thrive doing what they’re brilliant at? Now, that’s something that truly lights me up!
Talking or writing about business and marketing doesn’t. So, a couple of years ago, I decided to do less of that and focus more on people and their stories ... as well as the transformative power of the "3 Principles."
Now, I know that might sound a bit strange – after all, marketing (whether it’s your newsletter, podcast, or social media posts) is about letting people know how you can help them so they can decide if it’s what they need or want.
So yes, it’s a bit of a paradox. And I’ll admit, this conundrum stumped me for quite a while. I wondered: How can I continue to serve soulpreneur clients if I’m not actively communicating about my business coaching each and every time I go out?
That’s when life gave me a little wink, waved in my direction, and said, "Hey, Shailia, look over here!" And ta-da, I felt guided to explore the idea of "serving, not selling," as coined by Steve Chandler and Rich Litvin and taught by my current mentor, Aila Coats.
Over the past year, I’ve embraced this approach and have been working with soulpreneur clients by invitation only – reaching out to them privately, one by one.
This way of doing business is entirely new for me, and I’m still navigating the learning curve. But I can already see its potential to be a game-changer.
However, today, I wanted to take a different route, share the story of one of my business clients, and send out an invitation, hoping it might serve you.
If nothing else, I’d like you to consider this...
Just because something feels like an impossible conundrum right now doesn’t mean there’s no solution. Often, there’s a way forward you simply haven’t seen yet.
Stay open, and let life surprise you!!
If you’re a soulpreneur running a service-based business, know this...
It’s absolutely possible to create a way of working that’s uniquely yours – something aligned with where you are now and that feels deeply authentic and joyfully effortless.
My beautiful client Claudia Homberg discovered this for herself. Here’s what she had to say...
