Mrs Woog
“The Statewide Newborn Early Hearing Screening came around with a trolley and stuck things all over his head, and told us they weren’t getting a reading from his auditory nerves… The 15 minutes that followed that, changed our lives. We didn’t know anything about being deaf. We cried for 15 minutes. We didn’t tell anyone. We didn’t tell our parents or families - we were in a state of shock.” |

Carol Mitchell
“You lead a life that you think is set for you for the rest of your life. I was thrown into the workforce and had no skills whatsoever. This was a very scary process. I joined a networking group and thought they’d eat me alive. I could barely get up and say my own name. I just kept pushing myself and pushing myself so far out of my comfort zone. And I think the reason I could do that was because nothing could be worse than the humiliation of what was going on in my marriage.” |

“As well as feeling much more in control of my life, the daily tasks have given me a sense of 'I can do anything' so whatever task comes my way, I just break it down into smaller tasks and get on with it. Nothing seems as hard anymore. I can do anything.” - JC, My 15 Minutes Member
