Full development of the upper back is actually harder when you use heavy weight in your exercises all the time. This back exercise combines the two major planes of movement for the lats with a high-tension, shortened-range of motion to put MASSIVE tension on the lats and smaller muscles of the upper back. This one will hit your lats extremely hard, especially if you've had a hard time feeling them in the past.
